Getting Started with Mylla

What is Mylla?
Mylla is an AI-powered voice agent platform that answers your business phone calls 24/7. When a customer calls, Mylla's AI agent picks up, has a natural conversation, captures the customer and request details, and delivers everything to your dashboard — so you never miss a call again.
Setting Up Your Account
1. Set Up Your Business
After signing up, you'll land on your dashboard. Your business is where your team manages calls, requests, customers, and agents.
2. Create Your First Agent
Go to Agents → Create Agent and configure:
- Name — Give your agent a name (e.g., "Front Desk", "After Hours")
- Language — Choose the language(s) your agent speaks
- Voice — Pick a voice that fits your brand
- Greeting — What the agent says when answering a call
- Instructions — Tell the agent what to do: capture caller name, reason for calling, insurance info, appointment requests, and other details your team needs.
- Knowledge Base — Upload documents (FAQ, pricing, services) so the agent can answer questions accurately
3. Get a Phone Number
Go to Numbers → Get a Number:
- Search by area code or city
- Purchase a number directly from the dashboard
- Assign it to your agent
You have three ways to get calls into Mylla — pick whichever fits:
- Buy a new Mylla number or forward your existing business number — see Numbers
- Link a SIP trunk if you already own numbers through another provider (PBX, Bandwidth, Telnyx, etc.) — see SIP Trunk (BYON)
4. Go Live
Once your agent has a phone number assigned, it's live! Calls to that number will be handled by your AI agent immediately.
Dashboard Overview
Home
Your at-a-glance view: recent calls, new customers, open requests, and key stats for the current period.
Requests
Every call that captures something your team should handle creates or updates a request. From here you can:
- View caller details and request summaries
- Listen to call recordings
- Read full transcripts
- Update request status (new -> contacted -> completed)
- Add notes for your team
- Assign requests to team members
Calls
Complete log of all calls — successful, missed, and voicemails. Filter by date, agent, or call type. Listen to recordings and read transcripts.

Agents
Manage your AI agents. Each agent can be configured independently with its own voice, language, greeting, instructions, and knowledge base. You can run multiple agents for different purposes (e.g., one for appointments, one for general inquiries).
Numbers
View and manage your phone numbers. Purchase new numbers, assign them to agents, or release numbers you no longer need.
Locations
If your business has multiple locations, create a location for each. Assign team members and agents to specific locations to keep everything organized.
Customers
Your CRM view of every caller. See conversation history, linked requests, and interaction timelines for each customer — sorted by most recent activity.
Integrations
Connect Mylla to the tools you already use — Google Calendar, Calendly, HubSpot, Zapier, and more. Manage connections and assign integrations to specific agents.
Analytics
Track your call volume, new customers, average call duration, and costs. See trends over time and identify peak calling hours.
Team
Invite team members to collaborate. Assign roles to control what each person can access.
Settings
Configure your business across four tabs: general info and timezone, routing and business hours, notification defaults, and data retention policies.
Billing
View your plan, usage, invoices, and manage your subscription.
Profile
Manage your personal account — update your name, avatar, email, password, and notification preferences.
Roles & Permissions
Mylla has three roles:
Super Admin
Full control over everything — agents, numbers, team, billing, settings. Can upgrade/downgrade the plan, change payment methods, and manage the subscription.
Admin
Manages day-to-day operations — configure agents, handle requests, invite team members, view billing and usage. Can add seats when the team grows. Cannot change the plan or payment method.
Member
Focused on assigned follow-up work — view and update visible requests, listen to permitted call recordings, and add notes. Read-only access to agents and numbers.
Using Mylla (AI Assistant)
Mylla includes a built-in AI assistant in your dashboard. Click the assistant button to open the chat panel and ask questions like:
- "Show me today's new requests"
- "How many calls did we get this week?"
- "Assign this request to Sarah"
- "Show me the requests that still need follow-up"
Mylla adapts to your role. Admins can work across the business, while members stay focused on their assigned requests and customers.
