How Notifications Work
Mylla keeps you informed about new requests, calls, team changes, billing events, and system updates. Notifications are delivered through three channels — and you control which ones you receive.
Notification Channels
| Channel | Description |
|---|---|
| In-App | Appears in the notification bell on your dashboard — always on |
| Sent to your account email address | |
| Push | Browser push notifications on desktop and mobile |
In-app notifications are always enabled. Email and push can be toggled per category.
Notification Categories
| Category | What It Covers |
|---|---|
| Requests | New requests captured, assignments, status changes |
| Calls | Missed calls, call completions, stale call alerts |
| Team | New member invitations, role changes, member removals |
| Billing | Budget alerts, invoice generation, plan changes |
| System | Platform updates, maintenance notices, integration alerts |
Managing Your Preferences
Go to Profile → Notifications to customize what you receive:
- Global toggles — Turn email or push notifications on or off entirely
- Per-category controls — Fine-tune which categories send email and push notifications
If a toggle is grayed out, it means your admin has disabled that channel for the category in Settings. You'll see a note explaining this.
Quiet Hours
Don't want notifications at night? Enable Quiet Hours to pause non-critical notifications during a time window you set:
- Start time and End time — define the window (e.g., 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
- Timezone — make sure the window matches your local time
During quiet hours, notifications are held and delivered when the window ends. Critical system notifications may still come through.
Daily Digest
Instead of individual notifications, you can receive a single Daily Digest email that summarizes everything that happened:
- Toggle the digest on or off
- Set your preferred delivery time (e.g., 8:00 AM)
The digest includes a summary of new requests, calls, and any items that need your attention.
Push Notifications
To receive push notifications in your browser:
- Go to Profile → Notifications
- Toggle Push on
- Your browser will ask for permission — click Allow
To stop push notifications, toggle Push off from the same page. You can also manage browser permissions in your browser settings.
Business Defaults (Admins)
Admins and Super Admins can set notification defaults for the entire business from Settings → Notifications. These defaults act as guardrails — when an admin disables a channel, no team member can override it. See Settings for details.
